Today we leaped out of bed early refreshed, not, and nourished, in the parisian fashion. We walked up and out 2-3 blocks, in a delightful sprinkling rain, and found the town home of Jacquemart-Andre, a couple who furnished their home with the most exquisite art work, including Rembrandt oils, Teopoli frescoes, a Botticellian madonna, Fragonnards, and then the home itself a museum. Part was closed so we got a reduced rate. It was truly outstanding, like th Frick in NY or Phillips in DC. I wanted ot buy a book at the shop, 20 walks in Paris, but held back as I thought my daughter's eyes might drill holes into my feet. On exiting the sun warmed us and had sent the grey skies away. We dropped off our rain gear and headed back to Le Musee du Mode, where a few days earlier there had been an unbelievably long line, but now short. I couldn't be happier, since it still keep us queued for 30 minutes, imagine the other day? A curiously creative show focusing on Chalayan, I believe, has only a bit longer. I had leave to go to Clinic B, which was listed in Le Point, a local Paris new magazine as one of the top Breast Clinics, along with St Jean Dieu. Today was a "simple OR day" and I was 10' late, the traverse across the city took me longer. I downloaded his pictures I had taken with my camera to his computer, he gave me a short update and then sent me off, for today, to return Monday.
He is off to Boston for a friends' wedding. Back Monday am.
I exchanged clothes at the flat and picked up nook, book, kindle and headed to Tuileries to find Mom and Erin and read. The weather had chilled but we enjoyed it jus the same. I only read 2 chapters though.
Walked home via Place de Vendome. It still gives me chills to think of Diana. Bread at the boulangerie, we try to find the "best" and even croissants for am.
Mom's re-inventing the fridge contents. and I have launched into the pain and vin blanc.
Let's see the photos??
