St Jean de Dieu

I made my way to St Jean Dieu this am, for 8:30.
I was greeted by the most lovely woman at the door who took me to the elevator to go to the 4th floor.
Too bad I had missed the email with the code to get to the 4th. It came at 800a, but I was on my way.
Nonetheless I found assistance to help me to the 4th. A pleasant worker gave me pass to 4 and Mme let me in. I changed into perfect disposable scrub.  I had packed the bare minimum and loaded my pockets and left my pocket book ce la. Ah d'accord.(okay then)
I had the great fortune to work with Dr Clough(pr. Clouph(f)) who is a formidable breast surgeon, certified in general surgery, plastics, and gynecologic surgery. WOW!! We would say in the states. That's a lot of training.
St Jean de Dieu
So therefore I am more than pleased to have a chance to glean from him. I had to re-phase-in after days of "Where is Musee d'Orsay??" and being the primary translator for the group. Talking breast cancer was so far away from who painted "Rouen." Dr Clough indicated that the afternoon was "routine" so I decided to let him be, since he had been a nonstop teacher for the first two cases, and possibly needed a beak. In the teaching mode, which came to me later, I did chime in with our WIH data, and will have to try BrUOG data sets on the tongue tip tomorrow.
I surprised Mom and Erin and came home early since his afternoon was simple tumorectomies, but even simple is fascinating in another country. There is no scrub nurse. The fellow assists. the few instruments that are used are on the tray for use and then only he or his fellow do the count.
He is a man of data-driven medicine, which may seem contrary-wise to the levity of his presentations, but really not so, as he is known to present his own work internationally, not the work of others; so he speaks only of the data, so refreshing.
I brought baguette sandwiches for luncheon home and we ambled out to the parc to enjoy the air. We made our way to St Chapelle, but the line was long. We tried the use link the concierge route, and "ugh" bought 2 day paris museum passes, but all we could see today was the Concierge. Notre Dame Tower closed. Crypts at ND: closed, museums: CLOSED. Eat the tickets, give up; So hard to do. My new plan is St Chapelle tomorrow am, and peu-etre, L'Orangerie mais avant que midi.
We decided to return a la maison. I stopped at the Monoprix for dinner ingredients, and deux bouteilles du vin and ma mere a cuisiner une salade avec les "left-overs" du hier soir.
J'ai appller Kathye a Lucille's mais Kathye is no there yet. So I had a lovely conversation with Lilly and then Kathye's sister in law Muriel.

A demain!
