Day2

After we finally got out the door we headed down our street Rue Faubourg St Honore. Wow what a shopper's paradise, if you like high end designers, Gucci, Prada, and yes YSL, Hermes and Chanel, and so many Parisians shopping with the designer bags in tow, and dressed to the nines. We found the Eglise Madeleine and then ambled down Rue Royal, found a cafe for lunch, and then down Rue de Capucines, to chance upon an impromptu classical concert in the Place Colette, close to Hotel du Louvre.
Place Colette
We hiked though the Louvre courtyard, again saving it for another day and made our way in time for mass at Notre Dame. it was hard to tour the church after but they had a free film showing at 9:30 so we made our way to another cafe and noshed till the film,  a history of the church and interesting and free. After 10:30, another impromptu pop artist in-concert, fireworks and skateboarding show outside Notre Dame. We clapped along, but then decided to make the journey home, reaching 178 at just apres minuit. Chamomile tea night cap. And the photo of the day, a real French Poodle and her look-a-like owner.
